PROGRAMS - SYNCHRONIZED
Synchronized Skating Program

Synchronized Skating is ideal for skaters interested in a team activity. Basic maneuvers, formations and transitions are taught in a social, team atmosphere. There are recreational and competitive opportunities for skaters who master the fundamental skills of synchronized (formerly known as Precision) skating.
Pre-Novice Festival

Skaters with Canskate Stage 6 or better are welcome to try-out. Recommended starting age is 7 and up although skating capability plays a major role on the team.

The team is made up of as many as 16 skaters and 4 alternate skaters (spares) performing a routine in unison while combining flexibility, power and grace in the movements.

Synchronized power skills are offered to develop the teams speed and accuracy as a group. On-ice training will improve strength and balance along with flexibility.

The registration fee includes coaching, choreography, music, practice ice, practice costume, formal competition costumeand Skate Canada fees. Fundraising is required.

Junior Festival

The junior team includes skaters from ages 11 and up and possess intermediate to advanced skating skills. To qualify, a young skater must have at least 2 years synchronized line experience plus exhibit strong, controlled skating skills with a flare for dance. The team is comprised of up to 20 skaters of which 4 skaters would be alternates.

On and off-ice training will improve strength and balance along with flexibility.

Fee includes coaching, dry-land training, choreography, music, practice ice, practice costume, formal competition costumes and Skate Canada fees. Additional fundraising is required to attend Canadian National Festival Competition.

All the above except, Powerskating, and Hopping Fees require fundraising commitments. See Fundraising Policy for details.

Payments may be made in cash, cheque (with ID) or VISA. All NSF cheques will carry a $40.00 handling fee along with the amount owing the Club. Payment will then be certified cheque or money order or cash all at the prices noted above.


NO REFUND will be offered for any program after 3 weeks of the commencement
date of the program without a medical certificate.

Refunds issued in the first 3 weeks of any program will be pro-rated. There is an automatic $25.00 administration fee assessed against all refunds which covers mandatory insurance, Skate Canada fees and bank charges. Fees will be pro-rated after the administration cost has been removed.
